Readiness Index

The Culinary Tourism Readiness Index (CTRI) is the Association's premier culinary tourism analysis tool for destinations. The CTRI is a proprietary analytical tool that comprises and refines several earlier analytical components such as the Destination Culinary Quality Assurance, and Culinary Tourism Development Index, which have now evolved into a newly updated and comprehensive analytical index and report.

The Index is used as a gauge by destinations to see how their culinary tourism development compares on a relative scale to other destinations around the world. Most importantly, in addition to a numerical ranking, the CTRI also provides an in-depth analytical report that can serve as a road map for a destination's culinary tourism development, which may include branding initiatives.

The CTRI assessment can take anywhere from a few days to a few months to complete, depending on the complexity of the analysis and size of the destination.
