Overview
Corporate Responsibility is a required component of business today. The Dot Com bust of 2001 set the stage for change and the 2008 Global Recession only confirmed that companies must act responsibly if they want to stay in business. That said, it’s business as usual at the Association. We’re not changing a thing because we have always behaved responsibly to both the industry, our customers and our members. Click on the "Responsibility" tab to learn how the Association gives back.
Responsibility
The Association gives back in the following ways:
1) We require that any meetings we host uphold the industry’s green meetings commitment. This means at the very minimum that facilities we use must reduce, reuse and recycle any waste that our event generates. In one example, a hotel lost our business because they did not have a written Green Policy in place.
2) We offer a Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) plan for pricing on our products and services. The discount applies to everything we offer. The plan is designed to help people and businesses from economically disadvantaged countries take advantage of our products and services at prices that are more fair for them. The PPP discount does not apply to international companies with operations in economically disadvantaged areas. People and businesses in the U.S., Canada, Western Europe and parts of Asia do not qualify for any discounts. Please inquire about other locations.
3) In the past we have offered tiered pricing for our research reports, with pricing based on business size which is more fair to smaller businesses with smaller budgets.
4) Our Give Back to Get Back Scholarship program helps promote culinary education around the world. Please consider making a donation to help send a promising young culinary student from an economically disadvantaged area to attend culinary school.Individuals and organizations may make fully tax-deductible donations. Please inquire to learn about the tax benefits that you or your organization will realize.
5) Small Change for Small Business is our program that helps local businesses thrive in the face of stiff competition from chain corporations. You can learn mor eand participate on our Small Change for Small Business page.
